The Emeralds of July is made up of three 12 year old cousins all born in May (within 2 weeks of each other!), a younger cousin on keyboards and an awesome guitar player.  The group was formed when the 4 cousins, all girls, began singing together for fun into their dad’s (uncle John’s) PA in the basement. Before long their natural ability and desire to perform shone thru and they began to put those music lessons to good use, figuring out songs and layering harmonies.

Rachel fronts the group as the lead singer. Her younger sister Ashley plays keyboards and sings backing vocals.  They are the offspring of an obsessed musician whose rock and roll lifestyle has set the stage for their passion.
 
Madelyn has been banging away on the drums, guitar and piano since she could sit up.  Music is in her blood.   She holds down the beat as the bands drummer and backing vocalist.

Jess was willingly dragged in by their cousins to learn the bass guitar so they could perform a song for their Christmas party.  She soon discovered her gift for music.  Her older sister, Megan, helps with management and promotion,   and fills in on percussion.

The cousins were fortunate enough to find a talented guitar player their own age. While dad was networking with another band he discovered Lucas, a classically trained, 3rd generation musician groomed for just that task.

The Emeralds of July are a talented and energetic young bunch armed with a blend of popular tunes for audiences of all ages.
